Pitch and Putt in La Manga Club

 dsc3962

The Pitch and Putt in La Manga Club - known as Par 47 is a very cool place. It is a real pleasure and not only offers a challenge for the end game of even a good player but is just great fun for all the family. Par 47 is beautifully prepared with tricky putting surfaces, bunkers and demanding pitch shots over water to well protected greens. The course needs a steady hand with the putts over well landscaped gardens and a strong nerve for the chips over the lake.

Its a place for the whole family to come together for some fun and relaxation. Even the experienced players need to focus hard to get the par 47 score. We found our kids got hooked on it so its best to bring plenty of old balls on holiday with you.

Even on a very hot day there seems to be a breeze down at Par 47. The course starts with a short chip over a stream onto a large green. In theory you should forget about the stream - but its not always as easy as that. Its a par three so a good chip sets you up for a birdie. There then follows a series of just putts where reading the greens is vital. Holes 8,9,10 and 11 have a bit more of a challenge but again they are par three but a good pitch is very important. Again there is a series of par 2 putts some of them fairly long with difficult to read greens. 16, 17 and 18 all have a challenging pitch particularly 16 and 18 where you need to pitch over water and stop close to where you land.

What's better than a cool beer afterwards in you villa or at one of the many wateringholes in La Manga Club. - a great addition to golf holidays la Manga Club
