La Manga

la manga

la Manga in the South East of Spain one of the best holiday resorts in the world. Situated in the South east of Spain and nestled in the hills of Murcia the resort covers 1400 acres on the Mediterranean cost. It is sometimes called La Manga Entremares - between the seas, referring to the fact that La Manga has both the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor. Part of La Manga is indeed between the two seas. La Manga Strip runs on a strip of land almost cutting off the Mar Menor from the Med.

We at My La Manga Club are dedicated to bringing you everything that La Manga Club and the la Manga Region and Murcia have to offer.

We offer you a choice of 12 beautiful villas and apartments to choose from for your holiday. We can reserve your chosen villa for you free while you sort out all the arrangements for getting to la Manga Club.

Many people come for La Manga Tennis Clubs or for golf holidays La Manga Club Golf and the facilities at La Manga Club for those sports are second to none. There are also a world class academy for each of them

However, there is much more to La Manga than that.

La Manga activities are  almost endless. It is a great place for biking, walking, swimming, sailing, scuba diving, bowling, horse riding to name but a few. There is a world of sport at your fingertips at La Manga - check out our AtoZ guide - a real sports fest.

Check out our ShoppingGuide, Our Restaurant Information and our Tourist information.

The Area of La Manga is often called the Costa Calida la Manga. Its the whole area around the Mar Menor. There are lots of towns and villages to visit. The Costa Calida La Manga Spain offers much for the Tourist and the area is very self-sufficient for most things to buy and services.

Here are some suggestions for drives you can take from La Manga Club for shopping, sightseeing or just exploring

1. Visit to Cartagena 1: There are great big underground car parks near the harbour front. You enter them from the center of the road running down to the harbour. Walk along sea front and enjoy a coffee in one of the outside bars. Wander around the town centre shops with lunch in one of the many cafes tucked away in the side streets. Visit the Roman Theatre Museum : Relax with a late afternoon coffee on the harbour front before returning to La Manga Club.

Visit to Cartagena 2: Your second trip to Cartagena could be for serious retail therapy. Visit Carrefour first perhaps which is on the right of the main road as you enter the City in a brand new Retail Part.

After you've checked out the stock and prices of Carrefour head for El Corte Ingles a super department store in the centre of Cartagena. There are lots of street signs showing you the way to the store and its spacious underground parking. The range of goods on offer is mind blowing. When you have shopped till you almost drop head off to the cafe on the top floor for some refreshments or lunch the food looks great and you can see before you buy.

3. A visit to Alhambra is well worth the drive. We suggest you spend a night in an hotel in Granada and then spend the next morning/afternoon exploring Alhambra before heading back to La Manga Club. Your hotel in Granada will arrange for the tickets for Alhambra for you.

But make sure you booking for Alhambra is is place before you set off

4. Tour around the back of La Manga Club. Drive towards the West course Clubhouse and on to Portman. The drive is spectacular for the views of utter industrial destruction, a massive oil refinery and attempts at regeneration. Its amazing that so close to beautiful La Manga Club you can find such utter devastation.

5. Cabo de Palos is worth a visit particularly for the market on Sunday followed by lunch on the seafront. Dont forget to try the Asiatica coffees - not for the driver I'm afraid

6. Mar de Crystal. Walk along the sandy seafront, sip coffee at one of the bars and maybe a dip in the Mar menor.

7. Drive out La Manga Strip - There are excellent cafes on the seafront at the massive marina where you can have a snack and a glass of cool beer. For the twitchers among you there is a nature reserve at the end of the strip noted for its wading birds. There is another seafront at the North end of the Ma Menor with lots of cafes.

On one sheet of paper you can summarise your whole trip and just relax knowing everything is done. You will still need to bring copies of all your bookings for reference if you need them but for the most part this one piece of paper is all that you will use
