La Manga Cabo de Palos is not given much space in books on la Manga tourist information. The town is only a few miles from La Manga Club but is a unique Spanish holiday village. Until the 1960s it was very undeveloped but now has a good deep harbour and marina and is a major holiday destination for Spanish and international visitors. Cabo de Palos is a favourite of www.mylamangaclub.com.

If Cabo be Polos gets a mention in books on La Manga Tourism, the lighthouse is considered worth visiting and was the site of a major maritime disaster but for our La Manga tourist information guide the must do's are

1, The Sunday market is fantastic with a huge range of goods for sale at very good prices - The market is one of the best la Manga markets and one of the main attractions in la Manga Club but just watch your wallet though as pick-pocketing is a problem.

2. Sunday Brunch in one of the many fine seafood restaurants in la Manga on the harbour. These are some of the best restaurants in la Manga - book your table early before going to the market so you dont have to wait. The restaurant in the marquee is especially good and really friendly. After lunch try the Asiatica coffee - fantastic

3. There are some great pottery shops for traditional souvenirs or presents for those at home just down the road from the Market.

4. For the really active, la Manga Cabo de Polos is one of the best places for scuba diving in la Manga. A company on the harbour arranges group trips out to wreck sites in clear blue water - see also muffy charter.

5. There is a miniature race track just outside Cabo de Polos for go-karting in la Manga - great fun

6. Down at the Harbour there is also an active fish market with several fishmongers in la Manga with a good variety of fresh fish straight from the boats that have been fishing in la Manga waters

mylamangaclub strongly recommends a visit to Cabo de Polos
