Get Fit at la Manga Club: Getting in shape at La Manga Club is a pleasure not a task. Open country for walks, miles of beautiful beaches, golf courses, tennis club - all the facilities of a training camp. Take this and beautiful fresh food and you have all the reasons to get reach new levels of fitness.
La Manga Club has become the venue of the La Manga Boot Camp set up for ladies by Ladies it is now reaching cult status. The boot camp brings in expert coaches from the Army who put the girls through their paces. On the box it says you can lose 8 pounds plus in a week - a great start if you have put on some weight over the Winter. It would be interesting to know how many of the participants still had lost that much after a month back at home.
Toning up in la Manga Club on just one a week holiday is a tall order especially since the restaurants are so good and the bars at la Manga Club are so enticing.
Joking apart though, the fantastic facilities at la Manga Club are very enticing. A game of golf or tennis in the morning and spending the afternoon at La Manga Spa is very uplifting. Do that 3 or 4 times in a week and you would certainly notice the impact on your fitness and waistline. I used La Manga Club one year in preparation for the London marathon. If you are a reasonable fit runner try a run down to La Cala and back or around one of the golf courses - early in the morning or in the late evening. Another fantastic run would be to Portman and back.
Even if you walk to the shops and back each morning for bread and croissants you will notice a good improvement in your fitness unless of course you are staying at the Golf bungalows or at the Hotel Principe Felipe
So its certainly possible to shape up in La Manga Club although the Club is much more organised to give you a total package of Luxury Living, sporting excellence and fantastic restaurants. You may end up going home somewhat fitter than when you arrived but that would most likely be a by-product of one of the most memorable holidays you will ever have.
